Middlesex Hospital Project
We are pleased to announce that J&C Architectural Ltd. has successfully secured the ‘U profiled glazing’ package with main contractor Durkan Ltd. This package involves the glass cladding of the stair towers on blocks B, C, and E of the new residential development north of Central Middlesex Hospital in London. J&C Architectural Ltd. will supply and install Linit U-channel glass on the façade of these three stair towers, enhancing the building’s aesthetic and performance. The installation will use single-glazed, low-iron, 504 (rough cast), toughened glass, and will take place on-site in Q2 of 2024. The project includes the construction of four new residential blocks, providing much-needed housing, as well as the renovation of an existing building, the Old Refectory, which will be converted into multi-occupied commercial premises, contributing to the area’s revitalization. This development will help revitalize the area, offering modern amenities and improving the urban environment.
This project is part of the expansive ‘Old Oak & Park Royal’ regeneration program, under the Mayor of London’s proposals. The transformation near Middlesex Hospital will see the development of 25,500 new homes over the 640 plus hectare development site spanning the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Brent and Ealing with the creation of 65,000 new jobs over the next 20-30 years. This ambitious regeneration will help address housing shortages, boost local economies, and enhance the area’s overall livability, contributing to a dynamic, future-focused community.
